Cafe management, built for the Egyptian market
CaféOS is a cloud platform that runs the whole cafe from one place — reservations, orders, the till, the kitchen, stock, staff and reports. Arabic-first, priced in EGP.
What CaféOS actually is
CaféOS is a point-of-sale and management system for cafes and small restaurants. A cafe gets one dashboard with everything in it: a floor plan they draw themselves, a digital menu with photos, QR ordering from the table, a kitchen display, loyalty points, stock that deducts itself on every sale, and staff attendance and payroll. It also gives the cafe its own public site — page, menu and booking — on its own address.
Who it is for
Cafes, roasteries and small restaurants in Egypt and the wider Arab region — from a single branch to a chain. Owners who run the place themselves and want a system that understands the work, rather than a foreign one translated word for word.
Why Arabic-first matters
Most restaurant systems were built in English and translated afterwards, so their Arabic comes out reversed or half-finished. CaféOS was built the other way round: the interface is right-to-left from the start, thermal receipts print Arabic correctly, prices are in EGP, and reports are calculated in Cairo time. English is fully supported — it just is not the original.
Specifics
How it is built
- Each cafe’s data is fully isolated. Every query is bound to its own cafe, and an automated test blocks any new code that reads data without naming one.
- The till works offline. If the connection drops, orders are written to the device and upload themselves when it returns — with a key that stops the same order being recorded twice.
- Money is counted exactly. Amounts are stored as fixed decimals rather than floating point, and the drawer reconciles against cash only — card and wallet never touch it.
- Reports say what they know. If less than half of sales come from items with a costed recipe, the system withholds the margin instead of showing a misleading one.
